We have a bit of a drive to start the day, but it will be well worth it when you see the view from Red Earth Brewing. Situated on a working avocado farm and set up inside an old shed, guests will get to sample a paddle of delicious beer poured fresh from the tanks as we learn about the ingredients of beer, a bit of history, and enjoy behind-the-scenes brewery tour with a brewer or team member.
It may seem a bit early for lunch, but you will definitely want a lining on your stomach when you check out the menu at Pasture & Co. With a focus on local produce, sustainable farming and eco-friendly options, the seasonal menu is always delicious. Brunch favourites are served with a beer or wine from a local producer.
Switching gears, our next visit is the Gold Coast's nano-distillery, Granddad Jack's, where owner Dave gets guests behind the scenes while he explains the story behind the name, their inspiration, and where they plan to go in the future. After some background, distiller Luke explains the process of making vodka and gin, the essential ingredients for a tasty cocktail, and talks guests through a tasting of 3 unique gins and tonics.
Your day will end with a visit to Gold Coast's smallest nano-brewery, Madocke Brewing Company, where owners and brewers Jimmy and Annelies - having honed their brewing skills in Belgium - bring a taste of home to the Gold Coast. Brewing out of a small brewhouse in their garage, this Belgian couple has brought their passion for delicious, authentic Belgian beer to Aussie locals.
After the conclusion of the tour, we will drop guests at Helensvale Train Station or Loose Moose where there are train, tram and bus options.
Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. Closed-toe shoes recommended. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle. Itinerary subject to change based on opening hours, events, traffic, etc.
Please note that we are visiting working breweries/distilleries and it’s suggested you wear closed-toe shoes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. Also, since they don’t always run on a set schedule, we will try and catch the makers in action but that can’t always be guaranteed; keep an open mind on the day because no matter what or who we see, the day will be epic. Sometimes the itineraries will change at a whim; this may be because of traffic, a last-minute decision from the brewery or any number of things, so we ask for your patience and flexibility.
