Best of Brisbane

Are you looking to taste some award-winning beers but don't want to venture too far out of the city? The Best of Brisbane is for you!

After your pick up, we will begin our day by visiting Newstead Brewing Co where you have the chance to sample their core range of beers – plus maybe a few seasonal brews if you’re lucky - and get treated to a behind-the-scenes guided tour of a working brewery, where an incredible staff member will talk you through the brewing process and methods involved in getting your beer from ingredients to finished product.

Around the corner we stop into Green Beacon Brewing Co for some generous samples of their award-winning beer. While we recommend a few for you based on what tried previously, there's flexibility to try their seasonal releases and even cider if it's on tap.

Learning about the brewing process can be hungry work, so at our third stop you not only get a delicious lunch to soak up your previous samples, but a schooner of their brewed-on-site beer or another tasting paddle. We share the love with our lunch venues and may be chowing down at Milton Common or Sea Legs Brewing.

After a leisurely visit, we end our day with a stop at one of the various other breweries around town, from Soapbox Beer to Helios Brewing to Ballistic to Bacchus to anything in between! Each brewery offers a core range to taste, as well as constantly creating some new and exciting flavours that we may find on tap.

Once back in the city, we will drop you off at your pick up location or a venue that suits you - within reason, of course!

Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. Closed-toe shoes recommended. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle. Itinerary subject to change based on opening hours, events, traffic, etc.

Please note that we are visiting working breweries and it’s suggested you wear closed-toe shoes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. Also, since they don’t always run on a set schedule, we will try and catch the brewers in action but that can’t always be guaranteed; keep an open mind on the day because no matter what or who we see, the beers are always epic. Sometimes the itineraries will change at a whim; this may be because of traffic, a last-minute decision from the brewery or any number of things, so we ask for your patience and flexibility.

What better way to cool down on the sizzling Gold Coast than with a full day beer exploration?! We invite you to come with us and discover the surf, sand, and beer with a few award winning brews around the iconic Gold Coast!

We'll start with some lunch at a classic Gold Coast craft beer bar, where each meal paired will be paired with a paddle of cold frothies. Here we will dive into the history and ingredients of beer and revel in one of Gold Coast's best beer venues.

Maybe we'll start at Madocke Beer Brewing, a hole-in-the-wall Belgian brewery run by real Belgians! Suss out a saison or try a tripel; this is one of our guests' favourite places to visit!

After some lunch, we'll duck into a residential neighbourhood to be surprised and delighted with what Black Hops has on tap; here we will have the chance to check out their brewery and taste their fresh brews. If head brewer Michael "Govs" McGovern is around, he'll take time out to answer questions you may have and tell the stories behind each of the beers on offer.

Lost Palms Brewing has taken a unique, chilled-out vibe to their space, filled with bright colours and thirst-quenching beers. Comfy couches mean you can sit back and sip your brews in comfort.

From here we will move on to an original and iconic Gold Coast brewery: Burleigh Brewing, where we will walk through the brewery and learn about their history as the longest-operating brewery on the Gold Coast. Taste their core range, plus maybe a "bit on the side" (seasonal release beers) and marvel at the size of their brewery.

Of course no trip would be complete without the so-hot-it's-cool Balter (maybe we'll even spot a surfer or two!), where beach meets beer. Award-winning brewer Scotty Hargreave creates some delicious beers to keep you refreshed, and we'll have a tasting paddle here.

The day will see us visiting THREE of the FOUR breweries on the Gold Coast, along with lunch. Throughout the day we keep you well-fed and full of delicious beer, with plenty of samples accompanied by tasting notes and witty commentary. The brewers are happy to show you the ropes, help you understand the brewing process and answer any questions you may have. Whether it's a hot day and you need a cool drink or it's a cool day and you want to warm up, our Coldie on the Goldie tour is perfect for all occasions.

Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. All your friends may know you're of-age, but it's only the first time we've met, and we'd hate for you to get turned away from any of the breweries by looking too young to appreciate good brews. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle.

Seen everything in the city? If you're up for a bit more of a drive to some of those harder to reach venues, this tour is perfect! Get out of the city and prepare to be surprised and delighted with these hidden brewery gems.

After your pick up we will start the day with a visit the funky and unique Aether Brewing, where we introduce you to their range of craft beers plus maybe a few guest brews that may be pouring on the day.

Leaving here, we begin the 45 minute drive to 4 Hearts Brewing at The Pumpyard. Here we will get out and stretch our legs, then have a tour of the brewery. Located within the walls of an historic building and with glistening metallic tanks you can reach out and touch, Wade Curtis (the owner) has trademarked the “stainless steel selfie”, so grab a picture to share with your friends!

We will enjoy a delicious lunch here after a refreshing tasting paddle of 4 Hearts' wide range of beers, with top-quality produce to match the fine brews on tap. If the weather's nice we can grab a seat outside or sit in a private eating area within the historic walls.

A short drive back toward Brisbane sees us visiting White Lies Brewing Co in Sumner Park. One of the smaller breweries we visit today, we will have the chance to chat with owner/head brewer Lee "Smiley" McAlister and taste what he has on tap.

Finishing at Ballistic Beer Co, housed in an old WWII munitions factory, we get the VIP treatment with seats on the brewery floor as we kick back with four final tasters. Alternatively we may visit Slipstream or Helios, just depending on the day!

Once the tour has come to a close we will drop you off at one of our partner pubs in Brisbane where you can keep drinking delicious beer to your hearts’ content.

Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. Strictly no drinking on the van. We encourage lots of photos during the day!

Come along with us and check out some of the harder to reach Brisbane breweries as we venture around the southern suburbs. Producing award winning beers, these venues will surprise and delight with their offerings.

Join us as we visit the brewing sensations south of the Brisbane river on our Southern Sessions tour!

After pick up at your designated location, we will start the day at Brisbane Brewing Co for a great tasting paddle and explanation of what goes into your beer!

Once we finish here, we'll sidle on down the road for a filling lunch and more beers to sample at Revel Brewing Co in Bulimbawhere we can relax and enjoy some great food, sip on super fresh beers and get a tour of the brewery (at Revel) and a chat with head brewer, Matty.

Next comes the short drive to Yeerongpilly to visit the quickly-growing Slipstream. With so many great brews on offer, we recommend you pair up with a buddy to taste as many as possible! An excellent place for locals, Slipstream's head brewer, Ian Watson, is one of the best in the business - and we're sure you'll agree! Pick up a few 4-packs or fill a growler or squealer of their fine product so you can savour it later tonight!

Our final stop of the day is Ballistic Beer Co, where their VIP treatment gets guests onto the brewery floor - truly in the thick of things! - and treated to four of their finest! Their beers are top notch, so we will save room in the esky for any takeaways you grab. There's a food truck here in case you're feeling peckish (food not included at this stop) so feel free to grab something to munch on.

Please note we may swap out Slipstream or Ballistic for Helios Brewing - we like to share the love!

After our day has finished, we're happy to drop you back in the city at a bar or restaurant of your choosing, or to where you need to be (within reason).

Try your hand at LUMBER PUNKS before cooling off with a few frothies at some local Brisbane craft breweries. This tour includes 1.5 hours of axe throwing before checking out 3 Brisbane breweries and refueling with lunch. Perfect for groups!

Are you ready for some Hatchets and Hops?

Start the morning with an education on how to aim an axe and hit a bulls-eye! Our mates at Lumber Punks in West End (Brisbane) teach guests the appropriate technique to master the machete! A useful skill for all those urban vikings out there.

Now that you've worked up a thirst, we'll hit our first stop just down the road at Parched Brewing Co for a behind-the-scenes brewery tour of the production floor and a tasting paddle to start your beer experience. Taste their core range or suss out their seasonals - we'll surely find something for everyone! We'll also fuel up with lunch here.

A short drive away is one of Brisbane's original breweries, Brisbane Brewing Co. Join our unique Distillery Tour in Brisbane and get behind the scenes of small scale local rum distilleries, gin distilleries, and cafes.

After pick up at one of our set locations, you will be whisked out of the city to Sumner Park to White Lies Brewing & Distilling, where head-distiller, Sean, will explain the distilling process in detail before inviting you to sample four of the gins that have been distilled on site. Gin can go to one's head pretty quickly, so from here we will lunch at Mongrel, a venue that strongly supports local producers and provides exquisite, delicious food! Of course what's a meal without a drink? Featuring local brewers and distillers on their menu, guests can have a drink of their choice (within reason) from local beer/wine/spirits options.

Next is a short drive to Eleven Bridges gin distillery for a final tasting paddle of 4 locally produced spirits paired with fresh tonic water.

To finish the afternoon, we will visit Milton Rum Distillery (temporarily located in Craft'd Grounds, Albion) where head distiller Alex will talk through the history of rum, distillation and ageing process (and how it's different to vodka and gin) and guide us through 4 x 15ml rum samples.

Sleuths and Suds

Solve a mystery then cool off with a few frothies at local Brisbane craft breweries. This tour includes 1.5-2 hours of sleuthing before checking out 3 Brisbane breweries and refueling with lunch. Perfect for groups!

Are you ready for Sleuth and Suds?

Start the morning by stretching your brain and see how good your detective skills are with a scavenger-hunt-meets-escape-room game by Brisbane Street Games and catch the Brisbane Burglar!

Crime solving is thirsty work, so we won't drive too far to get to our first stop at Newstead Brewing Co for a behind-the-scenes brewery tour of the production floor and a tasting paddle to start your beer experience. Taste their core range or suss out their seasonals - we'll surely find something for everyone!

Good detectives need to refuel, so it's time for lunch! Our lunch venue will change based on the day, but you'll be chuffed no matter where we go! Of course there will be beers to match!

Time to cap off the day with some award-winning beers by Green Beacon Brewing Co, where their rotating taps mean we never know what's coming next for us to taste. Let us talk you through new styles and flavours before we drop you back in the city to enjoy the rest of your day.

Please bring a photo ID with you. Must be 18+ to participate.

Eastern Expedition

Are you looking to taste some award-winning beers outside of the city centre? The Eastern Expedition is for you!

After your pick up, we will begin our day by visiting Easy Times.

A short drive to Morningside sees us stopping for lunch and beers at Revel Brewing Co at Rivermakers, witha bit of interesting beer history tucked inside the brick walls.

Our next two stops are Hudson Brewing in Wynnum and Bacchus Brewing in Capalaba - the order in which we visit will depend on the day of the week. Both provide fresh, compelling, and unique styles of beer to the public.

Get your heart rate up and explore a new world! This tour includes a 30-minute virtual reality gaming session with ZERO LATENCY before checking out 3 local venues and refueling with lunch. Perfect for groups!

Please note: Guests must NOT consume any alcohol prior to their 30-minute virtual reality gaming session; we recommend a hearty breakfast before starting the day.

WE SUGGEST YOU VISIT THE ZERO LATENCY FAQ PAGE TO ENSURE YOU HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING.

After pick up we will head to Zero Latency in Southport for an overview of your objective and plenty of instruction to help you complete your virtual mission. It's an unforgettable experience and you'll definitely want to come back for more! For now, though, you can work as a team or have a singular goal and see who comes out victorious.

Believe it or not, it's easy to work up a sweat and get the blood pumping, so it's time for a beer! We'll go through all the important beer info at our first venue, including tasting methods, ingredients and history. It's also a great opportunity to get behind the scenes of a brewery during one of our walk-throughs.

After a short drive to our lunch venue we ensure you don't go thirsty with another hearty tasting paddle and some delicious food to keep you going.

After some lunch, it's anything-can-happen! We have one more brewery on the itinerary and it will rotate based on special releases, customer requests, or just where we feel like heading!

The day will see us visiting three Brisbane breweries and includes lunch during the day. We keep you well-fed and full of delicious beer, with plenty of samples accompanied by tasting notes and witty commentary. The brewers are happy to show you the ropes, help you understand the brewing process and answer any questions you may have.

Don't forget to bring a photo ID with you. All your friends may know you're of-age, but it's only the first time we've met, and we'd hate for you to get turned away from any of the breweries by looking too young to appreciate good brews. Strictly no drinking on the vehicle; closed-toe shoes required.
